Sulu State University informs all students, faculty, and personnel that October 5 is not a regular or special non-working holiday. However, in celebration of National Teachers' Month pursuant to Republic Act No. 10743, classes on October 5–6, 2026 (Monday and Tuesday) will shift to modular learning.
With the theme, "Recasting Teaching as a Collaborative Profession: Cultivating a Community of Educators, Innovators, and Nation Builders," the celebration recognizes the invaluable contributions, dedication, and commitment of Filipino educators in shaping minds, transforming lives, and building the nation.
Meanwhile, all non-teaching personnel are expected to report for work as usual, and all university offices shall remain open to ensure the continuous delivery of services to students, stakeholders, and the public.
Let us take this opportunity to honor and appreciate our educators for their tireless dedication and unwavering commitment to excellence in education.
To all our teachers, Happy National Teachers' Month 2026!
For everyone's information and guidance.
