Sulu State University (SuluSU) successfully concluded its three-day ISO 9001:2015 Re-Certification Audit, held from August 25 to 27, 2026, at the SuluSU Boardroom, Administration Building. The successful completion of the audit reaffirmed the University’s steadfast commitment to quality management, institutional excellence, and continual improvement.
The audit formally concluded on August 27 with the presentation of the audit results and findings by the SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. audit team, led by Lead Auditor Richard Bacomo, together with Ma. Janica Verlaine Despuig. The audit team conducted a comprehensive assessment of the University’s Quality Management System, covering various academic and administrative processes and offices.
Throughout the three-day assessment, concerned offices and units actively participated by providing the necessary documents, records, and evidence for verification. The audit evaluated SuluSU’s continued conformity with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, the effectiveness of its Quality Management System, and opportunities for continual improvement.
Following the external audit, SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. acknowledged the University’s successful implementation of the certification requirements in accordance with the applicable International Standard(s), based on the audit results.
Consequently, Sulu State University was recommended for ISO 9001:2015 Recertification a significant milestone that reflects the University’s sustained commitment to quality, efficiency, and excellence in its academic and administrative services.
The successful completion of the audit was made possible through the collective dedication, cooperation, and commitment of the SuluSU administration, Quality Management Core Team, process owners, faculty, staff, and concerned offices.
