Sulu State University (SuluSU) joined the 2026 High-Level Mission to Taiwan held from July 26–31, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening international partnerships and advancing excellence in higher education, research, and innovation.
Representing the University was Asst. Prof. Adzmer S. Muhali, Dean of the School of Computer Engineering, who participated in the mission alongside officials from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and representatives from eight other Philippine higher education institutions.
The delegation visited leading academic and industry institutions in Taiwan, including National Taiwan University, National Chung Hsing University, and National Sun Yat-sen University, where discussions focused on smart agriculture, net-zero research, fisheries science, academic collaboration, and internationalization.
To further connect academic initiatives with industry, the delegation also toured ASE Group, CH Biotech, and Machan International, gaining insights into semiconductor technology, agricultural biotechnology, smart manufacturing, and industrial automation.
