Sulu State University and DAP Formalize Partnership for ISO 21001:2025 Educational Management System

Sulu State University (SuluSU) officially entered into a partnership with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) through the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Development of an Educational Organization Management System (EOMS) Certifiable to the ISO 21001:2025 Standard.

Held at the Board Room, 6th Floor, DAP Building, Pasig City, the ceremony marked the beginning of a collaborative initiative aimed at developing an Educational Organization Management System that aligns with the internationally recognized ISO 21001:2025 standard, further strengthening SuluSU's commitment to quality education and institutional excellence.

The program began with the arrival and registration of participants, followed by an invocation. Monica D. Saliendres, Acting Vice President of the Productivity and Development Center of DAP, welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of partnerships in promoting quality management in education.

During the ceremony, Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, University President, delivered the Message of Commitment from Sulu State University, reaffirming the University's dedication to continuous improvement and quality education. This was followed by the Message of Commitment from DAP delivered by Leocadio S. Sebastian, PhD, CESO I, Acting President and Chief Executive Officer of DAP.

The highlight of the event was the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement, led by Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, on behalf of Sulu State University, together with Mr. Lawrance V. Mandriaga, Ph.D. and Magdalena L. Mendoza, Senior Vice President for Programs, representing the Development Academy of the Philippines. The agreement formalizes the partnership between the two institutions in developing an ISO 21001:2025-certifiable Educational Organization Management System for the University.

The ceremony concluded with the closing remarks of Magdalena L. Mendoza, followed by a photo opportunity and a networking session.
