Sulu State University officially commenced the Technical Training on Water Quality, Inland Capture Fisheries, Socio-Economic Assessment, GIS, and Biodiversity under the MinSuPala-IRDC Project, held on July 2โ3, 2026 at the HERMES, SSU Hostel. The two-day training aims to enhance research capabilities and strengthen sustainable resource management through scientific knowledge and innovation.
Participants engaged in lectures on socio-economic assessment, inland capture fisheries, fish diversity, GIS mapping, watershed management, water quality assessment, and data analysis, facilitated by project leaders and research specialists. The training serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, capacity building, and collaboration among researchers and stakeholders in support of sustainable environmental management and regional development.
Through initiatives such as the MinSuPala-IRDC Project, Sulu State University continues to uphold its commitment to advancing research, innovation, and community engagement while contributing to the sustainable development of Mindanao and the Region.
