The University Gymnasium came alive today as Sulu State University opened the pages of Pagkila 2026, its annual Recognition Ceremony and the first to be celebrated under the University's new status,
This year's Pagkila drew inspiration from both a timeless storybook and a world-renowned painting, The Little Prince and The Starry Night.
In The Little Prince, we are reminded that "What is essential is invisible to the eye." While medals, certificates, and honors adorned today's stage, the true victories remain unseen, the countless hours of study, unwavering discipline, personal sacrifices, silent prayers of parents, and the courage to keep moving forward despite difficulties.
Like the stars in Vincent van Gogh's The Starry Night, your achievements shine today not because life has always been easy, but because you chose to shine despite the darkness you encountered. Every challenge faced, every setback overcome, and every lesson learned has become part of the story that brought you to this moment.
