Sulu State University (SuluSU) officially launched its Integrated Management System (IMS) on September 14, 2026, in partnership with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), marking another milestone in the University's continuing pursuit of quality, excellence, and continuous improvement.

The launching brings together the University's existing Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and the newly introduced Educational Organizations Management System (EOMS) aligned with ISO 21001:2025.

SuluSU already maintains an established QMS that provides a systematic framework for ensuring quality and continuously improving its institutional processes and services. With the integration of the EOMS, the University further strengthens its management system by placing greater emphasis on learner-centered education, educational processes, and the needs of learners and other stakeholders.

The integration of these two management systems forms the University's Integrated Management System, supporting its continuing efforts toward internationally aligned practices and preparing the institution for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 21001:2025 certification.

A significant highlight of the launching was the Gathering of Commitment, where University officials, administrators, faculty, and other stakeholders placed their initials on the University's Wall of Commitment. More than a ceremonial activity, the Wall of Commitment served as a visible symbol of their collective pledge to actively participate in, support, and uphold the implementation of the University's Integrated Management System.

The program featured a message from University President Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, a message of support and commitment from Rose May O. De Leon, Project Manager of DAP, and the introduction of the EOMS Technical Working Group led by Jermalyn H. Amil, RN, MAN, Director of the Quality Assurance Office.

With the launch of its Integrated Management System, Sulu State University continues to build a culture where quality is sustained, education is learner-centered, and institutional excellence is a shared commitment.
