Sulu State University led the opening of classes through a simultaneous celebration of the Month of Language, with the theme "Filipino Language and AI: A Tool for Research and a Bridge to the Wealth of Information." during the flag ceremony held on August 17, 2026.
Representatives from all departments, including deans, teachers, students, the Administrative Council, and staff, participated in the flag ceremony, wearing Barong Tagalog as a display of our national language and culture.
The winners of the Good Dress Competition for Men and Women were also announced, and the celebration of the birthday of dedicated faculty and staff was held.
There was also a small competition from talented students from the Stalwarts Performing Arts, and a celebration of the institution's employees who celebrated their birthdays.
Once again, heartfelt thanks to all who attended and participated in this meaningful celebration, especially to the activity coordinators from the Center for the Filipino Language and Filipino Club led by Ms. Alnadzma U. Tulawie.
